2018 Year-Round Camping

I kept my every month campout streak alive in 2018 for the third year straight.  It felt a little more normal this time and this tradition gives me plenty of excuses to use my camping gear more often.  There's never a dull month to go camping!  Many trip photos were uploaded to Flickr so you can see more than the little photo collage below.  Here's a list of where I went in 2018:

  1. January: Loon Lake, Sylvania Wilderness Area

  2. February: Paul's Falls on the Sante River

  3. March: Snow Volcano on Lake Superior, Fourteen Mile Point Lighthouse

  4. April: Luke Manger-Lynch Memorial Shelter, North Country Trail

  5. May: Trails End Campground, Copper Harbor (during Father's Day Flood)

  6. June: North Country Trail, Ottawa National Forest

  7. July: Trails End Campground, Copper Harbor

  8. August: Mount Houghton

  9. September: Craig Lake State Park

  10. October: Sturgeon River Falls, Ottawa National Forest

  11. November: Echo Lake, Ottawa National Forest (super late-season paddle trip)
