Winter Camped at High Rock Bay Before it Was Cool




Believe it or not, there was once a time when High Rock Bay at the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula was mostly deserted. Not many people camped there, and certainly not in winter! During COVID times this remote spot started to be overrun with trucks and other visitors which really took away from its backwoods character. It quickly became a literal cesspool, with morons pooping on the mountain bike trails I managed. Talk about nasty.
