Tropikeweenaw

One of the only exotic wines I've ever made!

My only exotic wine! Normally I've tried to gather, grow, or acquire all of my fruits locally. This wine was made with mangos and papayas, two fruits that obviously don't grow in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula. Did you know papayas are okay to fly from Texas? Those fruits are funky!

Providence aside, this wine is a funky one and I look forward to cracking it open once it's ready. It began life on New Year's Day 2018 and just 14 bottles were christened in June 2018. After a bit of aging to dispel the frog essence of the papaya, this wine turned out a lot like a white zinfandel. Stranger things have happened, but not many. Exceptionally tasty!

16.4% ABV makes this one kinda ridiculous and the point where I realized I maybe should tone down the alcohol levels.
